I agree totally, brakes and suspension mods are a must!
I'm running the KVR x-drilled Brembo rotors and semi-metalic carbon fiber pads and I've got to agree, they're really nice for the money. Far less fade when stopping from much higher speeds, much better grip, no dust, no cracking, no warping, no rotor wear, etc. The friction coefficient of the KVR pads is supposed to be in the neighborhood of .39 to .40. The EBC's are supposed to be around .44. KVR's supposed to have a street/race pad in the .44 to .45 range early this year, if not already.
BTW, I think KVR is working on a big rotor brake system with 4 piston calipers for under $1K. They should fit inside the 15" GSR wheels.
